Results of the training tournament in Slovakia

☑️ Our team played three games in three days in front of some valuable opponents, resulting in two defeats and one victory (but with a very good game of our team in all three games). It was a very good test for the new season.

☑️Results: Slovakia U20 – Corona Brașov: 6-5 (1-1 / 1-1 / 4-3);
HC Detva – Corona Brașov: 2-0 (1-0 / 0-0 / 1-0);
Corona Brasov – HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas: 3-2 (SO) (0-2 / 0-0 / 2-0 / 1-0);

The official participation in the training tournament in Detva, Slovakia was confirmed

Our team will travel to Slovakia on August 13 to honor the invitation to participate in a training tournament in Detva, which will take place from August 15 to 17.

At this tournament our team will play three matches in the company of three teams from the first Slovak League (Tipsport League).

Thus, on August 15, we will start in the tournament meeting the selected “Team Slovakia U20”, (selected by the Slovak Federation, registered in the first Slovak league without being able to retrograde regardless of the sporting evolution).

On August 16, we will meet the host team – HK Detva – team that ranked 10th in the previous edition of Tipsport League.
At HK Detva our team goalkeeper, Patrick Polc, evolved in two occasions in the seasons 2006/2007 and 2015/2016.

On August 17, we will meet, in the last match of the tournament, the third Slovak first league team – HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas – a team that finished 11th in the previous edition of Tipsport League.

Also, the competitive calendar of our team for the 2019-2020 season, will be finalized towards the middle of August.

Julius Penzes signed a new contract with Brasov

Coach Julius Penzes, who trained Brasov team at the end of last season and led it to the national Champions title, chosed again Corona Braşov, signing a one-year contract with the possibility of a prolongation.

Penzes will also be the coach of the national team of Romania, who promoted the second world hockey echelon. Concerning the signing of a new contract, the president of the Corona Braşov hockey section, Emilian Cernica, said:

“I met Julius Penzes in Slovakia and discussed in detail, about the continuation of the collaboration. We understood, Julius Penzes signed the contract with us for a year, with a one-year extension. I mentioned that he had a very good salary in Kazakhstan and continued with our team and, implicitly, with Romania’s national team. He chose our team, knows it very well and likes Braşov. A heavy, heavy season is waiting for us, but I hope to continue the good things we have done together in Brasov. “

Corona Brasov Wolves – SC Miercurea Ciuc 2-8 (0-3, 0-4, 2-1)

The fourth game between Corona Brasov and SC Miercurea Ciuc from the series of the quarter-finals of Erste Liga was disputed on the ice of the Olympic ice rink. Guests managed to score 8-2 (3-0, 4-0, 1-2).

Corona’s goals were scored in third period by Tendler (min. 46’42 ”) and Lidhammar (min. 49, 48 ”). With the general score of 4-0, SC Miercurea Ciuc qualified in the semifinal Erste Liga.

Corona Brasov continues the preparations for the National Championship, with the goal of ranking first at the end of the regular season.
