The Ukrainian Pavlo Borisenko has been transferred to Corona Brasov!

Pavlo Borysenko signed with Corona Brasov, being a new “wolf” that arrived at the team which will be prepared this season by Greg Lindqvist! Pavlo Borysenko was born in Ukraine, 30 years ago. During his career, he played in (many) teams from Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Romania. The last four seasons he played for Steaua and Progym Gheorgheni, as forward but for Corona he will play as a defenceman. He is a massive, versatile player, being 182 cm tall and weighing 80 kilograms. The last two seasons, he played every time in the Romanian and Ukrainian playoffs.

“Borysenko is one of the local players that we brought to Brasov this season. He is a massive, versatile player that we want to use the next season more in defence, where he proved himself, at least during the games against us from the last season. I would like to welcome him to Brasov and wish him the best of luck in our team” – declared Emilian Cernica, the president of the hockey department from Corona Brasov.

The Canadian Cody Carlson joined the wolfpack!

Corona Brasov Wolves got another Canadian’s signature. We are talking about the 27 years old defenceman Cody Carlson. He has a height of 178cm and weights 82 kilograms. He played in different leagues from Canada, USA, France, Germany or Great Britain. Last season he played for Dundee Stars in EIHL, scoring 6 goals and having 19 assists during the 27 games he played in.

About Cody, Greg Lindqvist declared: “He brings an important contribution to the team this season, considering that he is a very good team player, with an impressive speed and personality. He will play with  the number #7”

The Canadian Craig Cescon became a “wolf”!

Another Canadian joined the “wolfpack” in Brasov! We are talking about the 31-year-old Craig Cescon, an experienced defenseman. Cescon is a massive player with a height of 187 cm and a weight of 95 kilograms. During his career, until now, he played in Canada, USA, France, Poland and Great Britain. He played the last two seasons in EIHL, in the strong league of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, being a part of the first line in the many games he performed in.

“Craig is a massive defenseman, who is not avoiding any physical contact. He is, actually, what we need this season in order to make our team stronger and I am very happy that he accepted to be a part of our roster. He will wear the number 32 and we welcome him to the “wolfpack” – declared Greg Lindqvist, the head coach from Corona Brasov Wolves.

Garrett Clarke, part of the “wolfpack” again!

The 2018-2019 season brings Garett Clarke back to our team. He joins the team making its defensive way stronger, as he also did two seasons ago. He is a 26-year-old talented player when it comes to scoring and a clever and strong defenseman (183cm and 90kg). The last team he played for was INDI FUEL in ECHL. The Canadian defenseman also gained experience in the MOL/ Erste League after he played in the past seasons for both the Hungarian team DVTK Jegesmedvek and Corona Brasov.

“Garrett Clarke came back to Brasov after a season he played in ECHL. After long discussions between me and Greg Lindqvist in which we compared this player’s advantages and disadvantages, we decided that he should be part of our team again. When we thought about the composition of this season’s team, the first thing we wanted to improve was the strength of our defensive. We analysed the roster from the last season and ended up to the conclusion that this year our wolfpack defensemen will have to be stronger in order to be able to face the physical interferences better.  So we thought about Clarke and finally he signed a one-year-contract which contains some clauses which will make him control some of his outbursts which will not be beneficial for the team.

In other words, Clarke is a very good and experienced player which will certainly be one of our hockey loving public’s favourite players and I am also convinced that he will put on a good show this season. “ – said Emilian Cernica, the president of the hockey department in Brasov.
