Tonight, our team played, in Gheorgheni, the last game of the regular season of the Erste League.
The game also counted for the regular season of the national championship, so the wolves wanted their 3 points (even if in the Erste League they were already the winners of the regular season).
Even though from the 21st minute the opponents were already leading with the score of 3-0 (through the goals scored by Hunor Csergő and Pál Krisztián Szabo twice), the “wolves” did not give up and until the end of the second period they managed to reduce the difference, scoring two goals.
The first goal of the “wolves” was scored in the 27’49” by Canadian defender Cody Carlson (who was assisted by Peter Balázs-Szabolcs).
In the 32’22”, Borisenko managed to score.
After two periods, the “wolves” were led by the score of 3-2.
The third period was at the discretion of our team.
In the 46’13”, Albert Zagidullin managed to score with a spectacular phase, being assisted by Cody Carlson.
In the 58th minute, the “wolves” managed to score the decisive goal, benefiting from a double superiority, Peter Balázs-Szabolcs scoring from the same pass of Cody Carlson.
Thus, the “wolves” end the regular season of the Erste League with a “moral” victory, collecting 82 points (7 points more than the team on the 2nd place – the Hungarian team FTC-Telekom).
For our team, the “playoffs” of the Erste League will follow, and we will let you know when the opponent in the “quarterfinals” will be established, as well as the schedule of the games.
