In the quarterfinals DEAC eliminated UTE (6th place), after 5 games with an overall score of 4-1 (3-2, 4-3, 3-1, 2-3, 4-3 OT).

The DEAC team consists of 25 players: 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders and 14 strikers (and the average age of the group is 24.4 years)

The team’s coach is the Czech David Musial (45 years old), helped by the “second” Hungarian Aron Kecskeméti (28 years old).

The most experienced and titled “local” players are: goalkeeper Zoltán Hetényi (33 years old, passed through AHL and EBEL and one of the goalkeepers of the Hungarian national team) and the team captain: defender Akos Berta (33 years old, past player and UTE, Ferencváros and DVTK Jegesmedvék).

DEAC also has 7 foreigners in the group: the Czechs Vojtech Kloz (defender, 35 years old, also passed through the Slovak first league, the first British league and the first French league), Jan Dalecký (31 years old, striker, transferred from the first Danish league), Jakub Izacky (striker, 27, third season at DEAC), Dominik Novotny (striker, 27, third season at DEAC and him), Canadians Clint Filbrandt (25, second season at DEAC) ) and Hugo Turcotte (striker, 30 years old, established player in the Erste League, returned to DEAC this year after the season started at Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák) and the Russian Dmitri Pestunov (striker, 36 years old, player also passed through KHL, transferred at the beginning of this season from ACSH Gheorgheni).

Goalkeeper Zoltán Hetényi achieved an efficiency of 93.27% in the regular season and 94.71% in the quarterfinals against UTE.

DEAC plays a fast, offensive game with a very aggressive pressing and is one of the very good teams of the Erste League. It is a team with a very good “home” game, our team being one of the few teams in the league that managed to win both regular games on the ice in Debrecen in the regular season.

In the last game of the quarterfinals against UTE (ended with a 4-3 OT victory) coach David Musial used the following “lines”:

  Zoltán Hetényi (reserve Lajos Gönczi).
