33-year-old Canadian striker Garet Hunt has signed a contract with our team.
Garet is one of the most important players of the last decade in the North American league ECHL, evolving in no less than 779 games in this league (for the teams Stockton Thunder, Alaska Aces, Jacksonville IceMen and Wheeling Nailers), achieving 272 points .
For Stockton Thunder he played for seven seasons (2008-2015), in the last three seasons he was the team captain (and in the last season even “second-player coach”).
For Stockton Thunder he was the most successful player in the history of the franchise, when he left the team his number # 24 was withdrawn.
Since 2015, he played for two seasons also in ECHL, for the Alaska Aces team, where he was also named team captain.
Since 2017, he has signed with Jacksonville IceMen, being also the team captain there.
In the 2019/2020 season he played in KHL, signing with the Chinese team Kunlun Red Star, for which he had 28 appearances.
Garet Hunt is a leader, an experienced and very energetic striker, who knows how to use his strength and “explosion” in key moments.
He will certainly be one of the most important and beloved players of our team next season, being a true “fighter” and a player capable of deciding important games.
Welcome, Garet!
