Russian 23-year-old Konstantin Chernyuk will join our team.
Konstantin comes from the Russian team Gornyak-UGMK (VHL – Russia 2), for which he has evolved in four games this season.
After participating in the Canadian Pee-Wee competition in 2011 with the “Russia Silver Lions U13” team, Konstantin trained in the USA, playing for the club’s U16 and U18 teams, Scranton Knights.
Since 2015, he has made the transition to the American NAHL league (evolving for the Wichita Falls Wildcats team) but also to the strong Canadian OHL youth league (evolving for the Kingston Frontenacs team).
After being drafted at the “KHL Draft” by HK Sochi (then being traded to the SKA St. Petersburg club) in 2016, he returned to Russia, playing in the Russian youth league MHL for the Dinamo St. Petersburg and SKA St. Petersburg.
In the 2018/29 season he played for the teams of the Kazakh club Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, both in VHL, MHL and in the championship in Kazakhstan.
In the period 2019-2021 he played in VHL for the teams Zvezda Moscow and VVS Samara.
He is a massive defender, 196 cm. and 94 kg., eager to assert itself and we hope to bring a plus in the defense of our team.
