Yuri Petrov strengthens the attac of Corona Brașov Wolves

Corona Brașov Wolves transferred another Russian player with great experience: Yuri Petrov, a valuable center man.

He played a lot of seasons in KHL and, with his last team, Traktor Chelyabinsk, up to the playoffs of the competition. Other KHL teams in which he played were: Lada Togliatti, his home town team, Sibir Novosibirsk , Lokomotiv Yaroslavl or Avangard Omsk. Petrov has 34 years, 176 cm and 79 kilos.

About this transfer, hockey section president of Corona Brasov, Emilian Cernica said he hopes that Petrov: ”will have a good season in our team, I know he is a very good player with great value on ice and a wide experience in one of the most powerful championships in the world. We is an authentic center man at the right age to confirm his skills. I had a lot of negotiations with his Europe agent and finally he decided to sign with us.”

Meanwhile, in this season we had three imports leaving Corona Brasov Wolves: Nielsen and Clarke due to personal reasons and Cescon by inconsistence with club requirements. Another player, Zdenek Bahensky is still being injured. About his situation, Emilian Cernica said: “I had a talk with him this morning. Personally, I don’t think that he proved his skills or his place in our team but he wants to continue playing for us in the new terms of his contract. Anyway, I want to thank Bahensky even if only for his honest character, for his good conduct and his lack of strange claims.”
