Zdenek Bahensky the most recent transfer in the “wolves” pack

The wolves’ roster gets even more valuable through the transfer of the Czech player Zdenek Bahensky, who just signed with Corona Brasov. Bahensky is an experienced center who played for a long time in a very important championship in Europe: the Czech Extraliga at teams such as Karlovy Vary, Litvinov or Sparta Praga.

Besides the Czech Republic, Bahensky also played in Canada and USA, in VHL and AHL and in the last season he played for the Slovakian team Nove Zamky, an old friend of Brasov’s team.

He was an important component of the Czech U18 and U20 national team. He played in Alps Hockey League in the last season. Aged 32, Zdenek Bahensky is 1,88m tall and weights 86 kg.

“We brought a Czech player with great experience in one of the most valuable championships in Europe, the one of the Czech Republic. He can play both center and wing. As player, he has good references and I am convinced that he will be very useful to the team. I hope that he will prove that he is the player that we need on our team’s offense as an import. Theoretically and practically we will be able to see him playing at the game from the first of November in Brasov against SC Miercurea Ciuc. It all depends on the type of the game that the coach will approach considering that right now we have two lines of foreign defensemen and two forwards.” – Emilian Cernica, the president of the ice hockey section in Brasov.
